Water Tank Cleaning In Wales.
This tank supplied 3 houses and got it's water from a borehole.The bottom of the tank was full of sediment and the walls was thick with manganese sludge and discoloration.
The local authority served an improvement notice on the private water supply. The customer contacted JN Environmental to attend site to clean and disinfect the water storage tank and to also install a water treatment system to deal with the manganese and bacteria.
The tank fed multiple properties including a holiday let, all work was completed within one day. A regular maintenance program has put in place to ensure the tank is free of debris and contaminants.
The customer now enjoys clean wholesome water and the local authority passed the water supply as safe.

After being installed more than 4 years ago, this water tank hadn't received any proper maintenance.
The bottom of the tank was full of sediment and the walls was thick with sludge and discoloration.
The supply came from a small stream in a nearby field with animals grazing around the catchment tank.
The customer contacted JN Environmental to attend site to clean and disinfect the water storage tank.

Spring Water Catchment Tank Maintenance In Keswick, Cumbria.
This 2000 litre catchment tank supplied 3 houses and hadn't been properly maintained for years.
The bottom of the tank was full of sediment and had completely blocked the outlet pipe that supplied the houses.
The customer contacted JN Environmental to attend site and pump out the water tank and vacuum out the sediment from the bottom of the tank. The houses now have their water supply restored.
All work was completed within an afternoon and we was able to attend site within less than 24 hours of getting the initial call.
Water Tank Cleaning & Disinfection in Newcastle-Under-Lyne
Two 3000 litre water storage tanks in this large apartment block supplied mains water to 200 apartments. The previous building management company had failed to get the tanks cleaned and the booster pumps serviced since 2013.
The new management company contacted JN Environmental to attend site and carry out a clean and chlorination of both water storage tanks aswell as servicing the 3 grundfos booster pumps.
A bacteria sample was taken from each tank and was sent off to a UKAS accredited laboratory for analysis.
All work was completed with no disruption to the tennants in the apartments.

This 2500 litre water storage tank at a golf club in Bury was supplied from a Borehole. The borehole was high in Iron & Manganese, another company had installed a Crystal Right water conditioner but had failed to properly maintain it. The Iron & Manganese passed through the Crystal Right and deposited into the cold water storage tank leaving heavy staining on the walls and floor of the tank.
JN Environmental was called to attend site and carry out a clean and chlorination of the water storage tank and to properly service the Crystal Right water conditioner and associated filters.
Water Tank Cleaning & Chlorination in Pooley Bridge, Cumbria
This 4000 litre water storage tank at a guest house in Cumbria was supplied from a spring. The turbid water supply was depositing sediment into the tank and had not been cleaned since it's installation. A stone was sucked into the booster pump damaging it beyond repair.
JN Environmental was called to attend site and carry out a clean and chlorination of the water storage tank and all associated pipework within the guest house. An 80 micron washable sediment filter was fitted to the tank inlet pipe to remove any particles and the booster pump was also replaced.
Water Tank Cleaning & BioFilm Eradication in Huddersfield, West Yorshire.
Whilst onsite carrying out the annual service on the Private Water Supply filtration equipment the customer noted that he hadn't checked the tanks in the attic for many years.
What we found was extremely bad BioFilm inside both water storage tanks. The building was being used as a guest house and treatment needed to be undertaken immediately to minimize loss of earnings.
Due to the severity of the biofilm we had to chemically disinfect the water tanks and the entire system with Silver Peroxide and then clean the water tanks out. All this was done with minimal disruption to the customers day to day running of the guest house.
